The Appellate Division provides legal representation in all legal matters of the Criminal and Civil Divisions involving appeals from local Court decisions to the Eleventh District Court of Appeals, Ohio Supreme Court, and Federal Courts of Appeal. This Division also supervises a team of Law Clerks who research and draft legal documents for the Criminal, Civil and Appellate Divisions.

The Law Clerks assist the Criminal, Civil, and Appellate Divisions with legal research and case preparation under the supervision of the Appellate Division. They also maintain the Prosecutor's Office Law Library and computer databases.
